Decorations, Finally!

During a random trip to Michaels today I found this great paper lanterns! They were just the perfect something small that I had been looking for. This picture makes them look lavender but they are actually a very bright pink with white flowers on them. I only got 6 of them but I look it will be just enough to hang in the surrounding trees and add just a little pop!

A Good Weekend

It's been almost two months since I've been home which I think is one of my longest amounts of time away since I left for college 4 1/2 years ago! So it was VERY exciting to get down there for a weekend. We got in late on Friday but still got to see everyone before they went to bed. We got to meet the new baby in the Wallace house. King Joseph has been living with my parents for a month now and is ADORABLE! I got to spend the entire weekend holding him and getting my baby fix for a while.
Saturday we had to take James to the doctor. He ended up having to get a shot and it absolutely broke my heart! Then we took both James and Makenna to pick out the tux's for the wedding. Saturday night was the celebration party for the adoption of James and Makenna. It was great to see all of the important people in our family and in their lives! Here are a few pictures of the baby and the party!

P.S. If you look closely at the middle of the cake you will see the finger prints (the white spots) and smushed plant from three little boys who were a bit to eager!

4 Months Left!!

First lets see how things from last month went:
- Finish registering: check!
- Find tux's for the guys to wear: found them, need to visit Bridal store in Medford to get specifics figured out
- Print RSVP cards and envelopes: apparently moving that to next months list
- Decide on more decorations: check! decided that if they are found easily I will go with them if not, no need
- Order veil: check!
- Order Makenna's Dress: passed it on to mom!

The list for next month:
- Print RSVP cards and envelopes
- Buy favor boxes
- Buy paper for programs
- Find shoes and other accessories
- Plan for centerpieces
- Purchase cake topper

Decorations....

I still want your input on shoes so go down a post and comment after you read this one <3

Here are a few ideas that I thought looked nice for decorations. The bottom one would have to be a really lucky find but I thought if I just posted it we could all keep our eyes open for them (not the solid color ones but these ones in particular or others with flowers like these on them.) The top picture would be kinda simple to make but need to know if ya'll think it's worth the time. Still thinking that maybe decorations per say are not really needed. I'm also still searching for centerpieces that I love... (that will have to be next months task!)

Disapointed in payless... I looked at their new line of wedding shoes and non of them are dyable or green! I want to go into a payless sometime soon and ask if anymore will be added but if not the search is on AGAIN!! Very frustrating.... but, my sister did send me a link to these shoes a few days ago and I thought I would see what everyone thought? If everyone likes them we should probably order them soon because they are on sale and may not last. Comment yes, no, or if they are the only option.
Stay tuned for decor options later in the week..... :0
One more pair to add: Kaitlin found these at payless, what do you think?

Check!

Finally! All 80 invitations have been printed, embossed, cut, and mounted! It was a 6 month process that is finally done. Sadly I still need to print the RSVP cards and address inserts so there is still more work to do but at least this is a big step! I can't wait for them to go out and everyone can see them. (In about 8 weeks)
